how to prepare for the portal

THE DAY BEFORE

  • Hydrate. Drink lots of water. And then drink some more. This is not a drill. Water improves sleep quality, energy levels and so much more. It will make you feel better. I promise.

  • Pack a bag with the essentials:

    • practical shoes for walking

    • clothes you plan on changing into

    • jacket to keep you warm if the weather is cold

    • touch up make-up if you are wearing any or a hair brush

    • water bottle

    • simple snack(s)

  • Head to bed early. Or start winding down earlier. Prioritize your sleep in the best way you know how.

  • Set an intention: How would you like to show up? Visualize the day unfolding. Imagine your dream coming true.

THE DAY OF

  • Hydrate. Drink more water. I’m serious!

  • Do something that grounds you.

    • Ideas: stretching, yoga, walking, going for a run, singing, meditating, holding a weighted pillow or blanket. Listing to your favorite song. Sitting in silence. Tapping. Dancing.

  • GIVE YOURSELF WIGGLE ROOM

    • Draw a sacred circle around our time and protect it like your life depends on it. What I mean is, give yourself the gift of margin. Even if it’s just 30 minutes prior till we meet, can you carve out some time where you are just sitting? Just being? Not doing anything? What about 5 minutes of just sitting, just breathing in an out? You’d be surprised at how much 2 minutes of margin can do for you too. Regardless of where you land, I will have space for us to both get grounded and settled into our time together.

  • That’s It! You’ve done the work! You’ve prepared enough! Now it’s time to show up and PLAY!
